M3 - Optimizing the final animation

Изображение
For this report I have been tasked to write down how I was able to optimize the final product of the unit. The report will be split into three parts of optimization that I have used for the animation with the parts being KeyFrames, Abstraction and File Arangement. Key Frames While making the animation, I first drew the main poses of an action with there being three parts that are the beginning of the action, the action being executed and the end of the action. After those frames are done I draw in-betweens (Drawings between the keyframes) if any are needed that is. One example for drawing the keyframes is the action where Wolfgang reaches into the backpack to grab the ham from it. From that I drew the keyframes which are him preparing to put his hand in the backpack, him searching through the backpack and lastly bringing the ham out. Afterwards I add the in-betweens and adjust the timing of the frames. As seen below, there are more drawings to the character lifting his hand compared to...

M2 SWOT Analysis

For this report, I will be writing down a SWOT analysis  From Unit 2 it is learned that a SWOT analysis is a project document that goes in-depth into the details of the project and showing with what things it does well, any downsides to said project, any other things that could be added to improve the project and any problems that it is currently facing. I will be using this document for my animation unit which will help a lot before I start the production of the animation, and if any corrections are needed, I can easily change the SWOT. Strengths: Entertain people - The animation can entertain people with the plot and the action that is              included                                                                                    ...

P6 - Evidence of editing animation

Изображение
Intro In this report, I have been tasked to show my working on the editing side of the animation. This document will include the entirety of Scene 3 and other editing techniques that have been used such as transitions and a bit of audio. This document will be a bit shorter since my animation doesn't contain much editing since most of the work is put on the animation itself. Scene 3 I'll start off this report by addressing the entirety of scene three since that is the most edited scene. The scene itself is mostly gameplay and its footage is connected with old video tapes as seen above to give the feel of the world being in such a period and not in modern times. There will be the games battle soundtrack placed over it along with the sounds of the characters and the monster to further give the feel of the game. It will also consist with some zoom ins to establish some characters more and what they do, and to finish off the scene. The ending of it will zoom into the monster falling...

P5 - Evidence of making animation

Изображение
Introduction During my animating, I've used TV Paint 10 pro as my animating program since I've been used to using the program itself for a while and it also has been used to create the concept art of the characters that are in the animation. Through this report, I will be demonstrating my work through gifs with labels on them on the stages they are currently on. The stages that will be present are Storyboard, Rough animation, Final product. In this report, I won't show the parts where I've used any editing techniques and I won't be describing the third scene as that is all gameplay. Scene 1 As seen above, this is the first scene of the animation. It starts of by showing the environment that the characters are currently in and their conditions. The reason for scrolling down from the moon to the snowy environment is so that it also shows the viewer the new place they are about to witness. The scene ends with Wolfgang getting his mustache frozen. Scene 2 For the second...

LO1 M1 - Evaluate how suitable each animation is for the target audience

Изображение
Structure: What techniques are used? What is the target audience? What is the purpose? How effective is this? Conclusion(which is the most/least appropriate and why?) Animations i'll look into: Robot Boy One Punch Man Cloud with a chance of Meatballs Wallace and Gromit Robot Boy: Technique: 2D animation Target audience: 8 - 14 year olds Purpose: Entertain How effective: Very effective Robot Boy is a 2D animation produced by a French production company named Alphanim and designed by Jan Van Rijsselberge. It first aired in the UK on 1st of November 2005 on Cartoon Network, and later in America on 28th December 2005 as part of a sneak peek of cartoon Networks "Sneak Peek Week". With a target audience of 8 - 14 year olds the show has a purpose to entertain the viewer by making simple jokes and with the action the show has to offer. The story behind the show is about a professor named Moshimo making robot boy for a kid named Tommy Turnbull, but and evil professor wants to ta...

P4 - Pre - production plan

Изображение
From Unit 2 I'm using a production schedule and a Storyboard.  A production schedule is an overall view of media production with all the tasks, resources, timescales included. This is good for planning the deadlines of said task and avoid overstressing yourself with work. It also gives you a good view on what happens when and for how long that task will be produced until it reaches its deadline. A storyboard is used to give a quick summary of how the scenes in the animation will be paced. This is useful for the animation since it gives me an idea on how the animation will go and plan out any camera shots, transitions or any script writings that will take effect in what part of a scene. Production schedule: The production schedule is very useful especially when multiple projects are being made. This makes situations less stressful and if there is anything needed to change i can change it at any time as long as that date hasn't passed. Storyboard: The use of storyboard will be es...

LO1 P2 - Uses of animation

Изображение
Family Guy - Target audience / purpose / animation style Simpsons - Target audience / purpose / animation style Comedy Comedy is a genre of animation that is seen in shows such as Family Guy and the Simpsons. This genre of animation is used to entertain the viewer with different jokes and stupidly made acts for example someone falling down the stairs or drinking from a toilet. But these jokes also depend on the age group to determine if they can be offensive or be suitable for smaller age groups. So for this report i'll be looking into two animations which are family guy and Simpsons. The Simpsons is a comedy animation made by Matt Groening and it is a show that is famous for its characters, personalities and the comedy inside them. It is also famous for its colour simplicity with the characters either being yellow or brown or being in more goofy and weird shapes. The show is meant to be suitable for people of the age 10 and above and it contains jokes that are suitable for everyo...
